Across America, Adventure in Summer 2013

It’s November, daylight savings is upon us. The nights are cold and the days are short, so  I’m editing photos, reflecting on this year’s journey as I put together my new website. It’s so satisfying to look back on past photographs as an intimate diary of my life. The thousands of clicks of the shutter, that still only make up a few minutes of time combined, are a testament to my reality.

I imagine this blog as a place to share the beauty in the everyday. This website is not just for business, it’s for poetry, and fun, and sharing stories and dreams. For my first Home Grown Blog I would like to share photos of an adventure. It’s nice to take some time off with your sweetheart and get out for a long drive. My partner Yosh and I travelled 8,000 miles around the U.S. in a rental car with unlimited milage. We brought our dogs to see our families in the middle (Missouri) and the Eastern (New Jersey) parts of America – and got to stop a few places in between too. Here is a selection of photos from our July 2013 journey.
